Position Overview
This paralegal position serves as a critical link within the Legal Team, focusing on product and privacy matters. You will collaborate closely with attorneys and diverse internal teams such as product, engineering, marketing, and security to oversee legal guidance, compliance tracking, privacy workflows, and documentation, all within a global, fast-evolving context.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist on legal issues concerning products and privacy, including documenting product features, monitoring regulatory demands, maintaining compliance records, and managing legal inquiries from the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like procurement, finance, and security to facilitate legal processes related to company products and services.
- Manage and update privacy, product, regulatory, and procedural documentation across various jurisdictions and internal groups.
- Evaluate AI and legal technology tools, participate in implementation and integration efforts, and pilot automation to enhance productivity and adoption.
- Draft, review, and administer privacy-related documents such as Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), privacy provisions, and notices, adhering to templates and attorney advice.
- Support attorneys with research and analysis on global privacy laws, marketing regulations, trade practices, consumer protection, accessibility compliance, and related topics.
- Organize and maintain the company’s privacy initiatives, including reviewing privacy notices and terms, and assist in managing customer privacy-related escalations.
- Compose clear communications tailored for internal teams, legal counsel, and external parties on product, privacy, and regulatory matters.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase the Legal Team’s efficiency, organization, and recordkeeping in product and privacy workflows.
Required Experience and Skills
- A minimum of five years’ experience as a paralegal in an in-house legal team, law firm, or both, preferably including experience with globally operating technology companies.
- Expertise in handling product, privacy, marketing, consumer protection, or regulatory legal matters.
- Proven ability to maintain and manage product, privacy, regulatory, and procedural documentation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Knowledgeable about international privacy and marketing laws such as CCPA, GDPR, TCPA, ADA, and HIPAA.
- Experience supporting a global privacy program is advantageous.
- Experience drafting and managing DPAs, privacy provisions, and related legal documents under supervision.
- Familiarity with Generative AI and related legal considerations, plus hands-on experience using AI tools to boost efficiency and quality.
- Track record supporting product launches, regulatory assessments, and cross-functional legal compliance projects is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, capable of managing several projects and deadlines concurrently.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, able to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Slack, Notion, and GenAI technologies.

The salary range for this role in the United States ranges from $65,400 to $87,200 annually and may include bonuses, benefits, and other incentives.
