Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Workday Product Owner to lead the functional management and continuous enhancement of a global Workday HR platform. This role sits at the intersection of HR, technology, and business transformation, offering a chance to shape the platform's future, ensuring it aligns with strategic priorities and delivers a seamless global user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the functional operation and ongoing development of the Workday HR platform.
- Define, prioritize, and govern the platform's functional roadmap including releases and optimization initiatives.
- Align Workday capabilities with Group HR strategies, digital transformation goals, and standardization efforts.
- Lead global Workday governance and decision-making frameworks.
- Manage functional change, release management, and incident handling from an HR standpoint.
- Coordinate prioritization and assessment of change requests in collaboration with external Workday partners.
- Develop and implement functional testing strategies, acceptance criteria, and HR approval workflows.
- Design and execute a global enablement and training strategy to support Workday users.
- Ensure consistent training materials, knowledge management, and documentation standards.
- Drive sustainable user adoption through key user networks, communities, and support models.
- Serve as the functional service owner for Workday ensuring quality and continuous enhancement of HR services.
- Maintain global HR data models and guarantee data quality within the platform.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, security roles, permissions, GDPR, and local regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the IT Platform Owner to maintain platform stability and foster continuous improvements.
- Work with IT, Legal, Data Protection teams, and works councils to deliver effective Workday solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Degree holder in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of HR systems, processes, and digital HR transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience managing or owning a global HR platform such as Workday from a functional perspective.
- Background in managing HR or IT projects within an international environment.
- Good knowledge of Workday governance, roadmap management, and platform optimization.
- Ability to work autonomously with a structured and quality-focused mindset.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experienced in stakeholder management across HR, IT, and business divisions.
- Comfortable operating within large, complex global organizations.
- German language skills are preferred to facilitate collaboration across international teams.
