Product Owner - Early & Late-Stage Collections

About the Role

ASB is focusing on transforming the collections experience to benefit both customers and employees by simplifying tools and processes. As the Product Owner for Early & Late-Stage Collections, you will lead a dedicated team to enhance key customer interactions throughout the collections lifecycle, partnering closely with business and technology teams to prioritize and implement impactful improvements that balance customer needs with business goals.

The Squad

This specialized squad manages significant aspects of ASB's collections process for early and late-stage collections. The team collaborates with operational and business stakeholders aiming to optimize processes, improve customer journeys, and ensure regulatory adherence while fulfilling business objectives. You will play a vital role in steering and prioritizing initiatives that elevate both customer and frontline employee experiences within a transformative workstream.

Primary Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a strategic roadmap concentrating on outcomes for collections experiences.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog of projects and continuous improvements.
• Lead discovery efforts to uncover opportunities beneficial to customers and the business.
• Collaborate with business, risk, and technology teams to deliver valuable outcomes.
• Make balanced prioritization decisions that consider customer satisfaction, risk management, and commercial goals.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and promote effective decision-making processes.
• Oversee risks, dependencies, and impacts related to project delivery.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of collections experiences and services.

• Experience in banking, lending, servicing, or collections sectors preferred.
