Role overview

This opportunity is for a Product Owner focused on client experience for a global digital product serving millions of users. The role is based in Kenya and is handled by a hiring partner on behalf of the employer, with applications and subsequent steps managed by that partner. The core mission is to improve what happens after payment so users reach value quickly by finding and engaging with relevant matches.

You will work at the crossroads of product direction, user behavior, and data-led optimization, with a strong focus on activation and customer success. The environment is international, fast-moving, and highly collaborative, involving analytics, design, and engineering. A key objective is to remove friction from discovery and matching journeys while lifting user satisfaction, engagement, and retention across multiple markets.

Accountabilities

  • Take ownership of the post-payment journey and keep refining the core customer experience so users consistently and quickly achieve meaningful engagement.
  • Improve activation by helping paying customers connect with strong matches and maintain early communication during the first week of use.
  • Spot barriers in discovery, recommendation, and matching flows, then turn those insights into product changes that raise relevance and satisfaction.
  • Enhance the quality and relevance of offers, invites, and recommendations by using user behavior and preference signals.
  • Build and sharpen customer segmentation approaches so different user groups receive experiences suited to their needs and expectations.
  • Partner with analytics, engineering, and design to validate ideas, track results, and continuously iterate on improvements.
  • Create engagement and reactivation tactics, including personalization, gamification, and communication features, to strengthen retention and perceived value.

Requirements

  • Substantial background in B2C product management, preferably in products with advanced discovery, matching, or recommendation systems.
  • A demonstrated record of improving activation, onboarding, or time-to-value in consumer digital products.
  • Practical understanding of customer journey design, especially in subscription-based or post-purchase environments.
  • Hands-on experience with data-informed product work, including experiments, A/B testing, and behavioral analysis.
  • Capability to shape segmentation, personalization, and recommendation logic.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to identify real user problems rather than only reacting to feature requests.
  • Experience operating in high-choice environments where users move through many offers, options, or paths.
  • Fluent Russian is mandatory.
