Role overview

HTC Global Services is seeking a Product Owner focused on data migration for an airline-domain assignment in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is an onsite contract opportunity with a duration of one year and the possibility of extension.

The organization is a long-established global IT and business process services provider, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Troy, Michigan, USA.

What this role involves

As the Product Owner, you will steer backlog direction, shape user stories, and make sure delivered work aligns with agreed acceptance criteria. You will partner closely with the Product Manager, acting as a customer advocate while helping refine the product vision and roadmap. The role sits within an agile scrum environment and involves coordination across more than one scrum team to ensure the right features are delivered in each iteration.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the product backlog and keep priorities aligned to business value.
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and acceptance tests.
  • Coordinate with multiple Scrum teams to support successful delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders to convert business needs into product capabilities.
  • Check completed stories against acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done.
  • Join sprint planning sessions, reviews, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Help shape the product roadmap and support the overall product vision.
  • Lead sprint demonstrations and assist with user training when the product is rolled out.

Experience and profile needed

Applicants should bring at least 6 years of experience in Product Ownership or Product Management. Strong working knowledge of Agile and Scrum is essential, and familiarity with SAFe is preferred. You should be comfortable managing backlogs, writing user stories, and working with a range of stakeholders. The role also calls for strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required. A CSPO, SAFe POPM, or equivalent Agile certification is also expected. Experience in airline operations or aviation is highly preferred. A technical or data-platform background is important, along with the ability to participate confidently in technical discussions.
