Role Overview

The Product Operations Manager in Payroll acts as the key problem solver uniting product, engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams, managing the full operational lifecycle for over 10 product teams. This autonomous role demands versatility, priority management, and accountability to drive complex issues from challenge to resolution across global time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert operational and customer feedback into prioritized, actionable product insights for Product Managers to address critical issues.
• Coordinate global teams across product, engineering, and GTM to maintain project momentum, scope tasks, remove blockers, and support product launches.
• Investigate and resolve operational or product-related challenges by identifying root causes and overseeing their resolution from concept through implementation.
• Manage diverse, competing priorities by organizing details, making timely decisions independently, and continuously pushing progress without waiting for approval.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 4 years in dynamic, high-growth tech environments such as Series A-C startups or comparable settings, with experience managing multiple priorities rapidly.
• Strong ownership ethos bridging product and operations, adept at translating between teams and distinguishing genuine product needs from operational distractions.
• Resourceful problem-solver skilled at multi-tasking among customer issues, engineering discussions, and data analysis.
• Capable autonomous decision-maker with a clear understanding of when to act independently or escalate.
• Data-savvy with proficiency in data extraction, analysis, and operational analytics, comfortable working with spreadsheets and dashboards.
• Effective and precise communicator, adaptable to diverse audiences including engineers, product managers, customers, and executives.
• Insightful understanding of software development processes, capable of assessing technical feasibility and monitoring project progress.
