Job description
About the Role
J&Co Jewellery is looking for a motivated Product Merchandising Executive to oversee product catalogue operations, coordinate with suppliers and production partners, and keep e-commerce channels running smoothly. The role calls for strong organisation, close attention to detail, and clear communication with internal teams and external vendors to help the business scale efficiently.
E-Commerce and Marketplace Management
- Maintain and improve product listings across online marketplaces such as Tmall and Xiaohongshu, making sure product details, pricing, stock figures, and creative assets remain accurate, current, and consistent with brand guidelines.
- Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and production teams so products are available on time, orders are fulfilled smoothly, inventory stays accurate, and daily operations are executed well.
- Act as the main contact for Chinese-speaking suppliers and vendors, supporting communication on product development, order handling, production timelines, quality checks, and problem resolution.
- Keep a close watch on inventory and stock movement, spotting replenishment needs early to reduce both shortages and excess stock.
- Partner with teams such as marketing, operations, and customer service to support new product launches, promotions, and marketplace activities.
- Review marketplace data and performance indicators, then suggest ways to improve visibility, conversion, and operational efficiency.
Merchandising and Inventory
- Build and manage product selections suited to different channels, including online, wholesale, pop-up events, and retail stores.
- Track stock levels and apply measures that improve inventory turnover.
- Oversee the sourcing, use, and replenishment of packing materials while balancing brand presentation and cost control.
Sales and Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly merchandising reports and use sales data to support business decisions.
- Work alongside sales and marketing teams to ensure product launches are aligned with campaigns and promotional plans.
Visual Merchandising and Brand Alignment
- Make sure product presentation, both in-store and online, reflects the brand identity and seasonal themes.
- Support pop-up stores, exhibitions, and promotional events by helping create well-curated displays.
Additional Information
Working hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The workplace is in Singapore, about a 2-minute walk from Tai Seng MRT. The role includes a performance-based variable bonus, birthday leave, staff discounts, a supportive work culture, and opportunities for career growth within a collaborative and inclusive team.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants should have a Diploma or Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline. Experience of 1 to 3 years in merchandising, fashion retail, or the luxury/jewellery sector is preferred, though strong fresh graduates with genuine interest are also encouraged to apply. The role requires strong analytical ability and confidence using MS Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with Shopify or retail systems is an advantage. Interest in sourcing and managing packing materials will be helpful.
Candidates should have a sharp eye for detail, trends, and consumer behaviour, along with strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Mandarin proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is preferred to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors. A proactive, creative, and results-oriented team mindset is important.
