Key Responsibilities
- Define target audiences, clarify value propositions, and establish positioning for key products and features to ensure market success and alignment across teams.
- Develop and lead the go-to-market strategies and launch plans for major initiatives, coordinating both in-app experiences and external promotional channels including communications, social media, lifecycle marketing, performance marketing, and creator partnerships.
- Act as the voice of the customer by collecting and analyzing consumer and market insights to support product decision-making.
- Translate strategic plans into actionable milestones, assign responsibilities, and establish success metrics while managing project rituals such as kickoffs, status updates, reviews, and retrospectives with thorough documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Product teams to schedule experiments and announcements, using early indicators to adjust positioning, messaging, and channel allocation before, during, and after product launches.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration between Product, Brand, Performance, Communications, and Business Development to ensure readiness and timely launch execution.
- Track and evaluate performance against adoption, conversion, and awareness targets, working with Analytics to distill insights and recommend post-launch improvements.
- Contribute to the efficiency and scalability of the Product Marketing function by maintaining operating systems including calendars, intake tools, templates, and playbooks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in product marketing, product strategy, or similar end-to-end go-to-market roles within consumer technology, gaming, or subscription sectors, demonstrating measurable business impact.
- Strong capacity to translate strategic concepts into detailed execution plans with timelines and cross-functional workflows, identifying and mitigating risks early.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills when working with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams to drive alignment and decision-making in dynamic environments.
- A data-driven approach and comfort with experimental methods; ability to define success metrics and iterate strategy based on market and performance feedback.
- Hands-on collaboration experience with Brand, Marketing Channels, Communications, and Product teams to deliver integrated launch campaigns.
- Adaptability in ambiguous settings, providing structure and focus without compromising creativity or speed.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience leading go-to-market efforts for new products or categories and achieving product-market fit within new segments or regions.
- History of partnership on creator/community engagement or strategic co-marketing ventures that accelerate product adoption.
- Expertise coordinating multi-market product launches and localization efforts with regional collaborators.
- Familiarity with in-app marketing and announcement systems and strategies to coordinate them effectively with external channels.
- Background working in consumer subscription, gaming, or education technology companies.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range for this position is $163,200 to $244,800 USD annually, supplemented by equity packages. Compensation varies based on experience, skills, and internal benchmarks. Duolingo offers a comprehensive benefits package emphasizing the holistic well-being of employees.
