Role Overview
Amazon's Retail Operations & Initiatives team seeks a Product Manager to spearhead efforts enhancing vendor engagement and supply chain efficiency across its retail divisions. The position targets the identification and elimination of upstream and downstream process deficiencies affecting vendor relations, supply consistency, and operational productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive cross-departmental product and program initiatives to enhance vendor experiences and supply chain operations across various categories and marketplaces.
- Diagnose root problems causing challenges in vendor and supply chain processes and create scalable, effective solutions.
- Develop and monitor essential metrics capturing vendor satisfaction and supply performance outcomes.
- Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), promoting adoption across several business teams.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis and process mapping to identify defects, measure impacts, and assess improvements post-execution.
- Advocate for technology roadmap adjustments to resolve systemic issues affecting vendor dealings and supply chain movement.
- Prepare and present business review meetings such as weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews to senior leadership, reflecting progress and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management roles.
- Proven experience managing technical products or online service platforms.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in launching major products or services.
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Highly proficient in SQL and VBA programming languages.
- Experience in constructing and analyzing cost-benefit evaluations and business cases, with the capability to communicate findings organization-wide.
