Job description

Overview

First Resonance is looking for a Product Manager specializing in Supply Chain to lead the strategy, vision, and execution of its supply chain and inventory management software products. The company focuses on addressing major supply chain hurdles, traceability issues, and supplier complexities faced by advanced hardware manufacturers in sectors like rockets, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and clean energy technology.

This role demands deep expertise in manufacturing supply chains as well as a technically hands-on approach, including data analysis, prototype creation, API navigation, and occasional coding contributions. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with engineers, factory planners, procurement teams, and hardware leaders to build cutting-edge industrial software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product roadmap for supply chain modules including purchase order tracking, vendor management, inventory control, traceability by lot/serial, and BOM/MRP integration tailored to high-tech manufacturing needs.
  • Work intimately with supply chain directors, procurement managers, inventory specialists, and manufacturing engineers to identify and solve complex operational challenges using intuitive software solutions.
  • Convert detailed hardware supply chain requirements into clear technical documentation, wireframes, and prototypes, partnering with engineering teams for fast delivery of quality features.
  • Engage in hands-on product development processes such as prototype building, data querying, and code contributions as needed.
  • Champion user-centric design techniques, including field research, iterative prototyping, and acceptance testing with factory and supply chain users to streamline legacy workflows.
  • Utilize data from user behavior, inventory metrics, and customer feedback to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and optimize product outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Sales teams to ensure supply chain products provide clear ROI and smooth customer onboarding.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in Product Management, Supply Chain Operations, Industrial Engineering, or similar technical roles, preferably with software development exposure.
  • Strong domain knowledge in manufacturing supply chain processes such as procurement, inventory management (WMS), bill of materials, component traceability, and vendor coordination.
  • Technical proficiency with modern software concepts including APIs, database structures, and comfortable participating in coding and scripting tasks.
  • Successful ownership of product features from customer research through launch and iterative enhancements.
  • Strong systems thinking skills to map complex workflows involving multiple stakeholders and edge cases.
  • Excellent communication skills bridging factory-floor experts and software engineers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous startup environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with manufacturing supply chain software such as ERP (NetSuite, SAP), MES, PLM, or inventory/procurement tools.
  • Coding expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL, or background in Software or Industrial Engineering.
  • Use of AI tools for prototyping, documentation, and data analysis.
  • Previous work within advanced hardware sectors such as aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, or robotics.

Benefits & Perks

  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Employee stock option program.
  • Social activities such as team outings, group lunches, office happy hours.
  • Paid holidays and sick leave.
  • Flexible Fridays and paid time off.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
