Company Overview
Kubota Canada Ltd. stands by its commitment “For Earth, For Life,” providing top-tier engineering excellence that enables customers to focus on agriculture, construction, and community care. As the sole global tractor maker with a national headquarters in Canada, the company operates independently, prioritizing Canadian customers and a network of locally owned dealerships. Kubota Canada dedicates itself to enhancing local communities by producing high-quality products and fostering a team driven by a purpose-centered culture of innovation and lasting community impact.
Role Description
This full-time position based in Canada involves overseeing the complete product lifecycle of designated offerings—from initial concept through market launch to ongoing enhancement. The Product Manager analyzes market trends and competitor activities while gathering valuable input from customers and dealers to establish product criteria aligned with corporate strategies and client demands.
Key daily responsibilities include working closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales, marketing, and dealership networks to prioritize features and manage product introductions. The role supports training programs and go-to-market strategies and frequently monitors the product's market performance, pricing strategy, and profitability. Necessary product adjustments are proposed to ensure ongoing competitiveness and customer value. The manager also prepares detailed reports, presentations, and documentation that inform leadership decisions and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
Candidate Qualifications
- Proven experience in product management encompassing lifecycle planning, defining requirements, and developing product roadmaps.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate market information, customer feedback, and competitor offerings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, managing relationships with engineering, sales, marketing, and dealer partners.
- Familiarity with market positioning, pricing strategies, and performing elementary financial analyses related to product results.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills capable of producing clear reports, slides, and product literature.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related disciplines, although equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Experience in sectors like agriculture, construction equipment, or industrial machinery is advantageous.
- Willingness and availability to work on-site in Canada with occasional travel to dealerships, customers, and industry conferences.
- Competence in productivity and collaboration software such as Microsoft Office and project or product management platforms.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a desirable asset.
