Role Summary
We are looking for a Product Manager Legal Recovery (m/f/d) for a permanent full-time position located in Berlin, Verl, or Baden-Baden with flexible working conditions.
In this role, you will oversee a key product in our collections portfolio: judicial proceedings and enforcement actions. Working with interdisciplinary teams, you will build scalable, automated, and legally compliant solutions that support our collections strategy and respect the varied circumstances of our customers.
You will integrate regulatory demands and operational excellence to develop a powerful end-to-end product.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Judicial product to balance firmness and empathy across diverse consumer and claim types.
- Create scalable and self-service solutions considering the complexities of debt collection, including interactions with courts, enforcement agencies, and other legal entities; lead automation initiatives while addressing legal concerns and ensuring data accuracy in highly automated processes.
- Reduce dependencies and empower teams by aligning stakeholders across departments, operations, and technology to a unified vision; integrate previously separate teams into a cohesive unit focused on shared goals.
- Continuously track product KPIs and optimize performance based on external feedback and internal research.
- Monitor regulatory changes, technological advancements, and automation innovations to incorporate them strategically into the product; evaluate and embed cutting-edge approaches such as AI and workflow automation into the product standard.
- Collaborate closely with other product teams, technology, operations, and customer-facing departments to ensure prioritized and aligned roadmaps.
- Identify user and stakeholder needs through hypothesis validation and data-driven prioritization to guide product evolution.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent German and English communication skills (minimum C1 level) in written and spoken form.
- At least three years of product management experience, preferably in debt collection, FinTech, B2B SaaS, or similarly regulated environments.
- Keen interest in mastering judicial dunning procedures and enforcement processes, translating regulatory requirements into modern product solutions.
- Proven experience designing scalable, automated processes; sound knowledge of modern automation, workflow, or AI technologies.
- Familiarity with data analysis and process mining tools (e.g., Celonis or similar platforms).
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to synthesize legal, economic, technical, and user requirements into compelling products.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder networks.
- Proactive mindset with entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for driving change.
