The Disney Signature Experiences and Data team supports the Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, and global Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions tour businesses. Our team focuses on delivering guest and crew experiences, enabling commercial growth through digital platforms, and leading the segment’s data strategy. We build reliable, scalable systems that foster immersive experiences and open new growth avenues.

Role Overview

This is an 18-month project-based position without assurance of permanent employment. The Product Manager II role is part of the Strategic Growth Opportunities team, dedicated to exploring and implementing new technology capabilities to advance Disney Signature Experiences. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, Emerging Businesses, this role contributes across the full product lifecycle and supports strategy and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including technology, legal, marketing, operations, finance, creative, and other product groups to develop technology-driven business strategies.
  • Engage with business units, technical teams, and external vendors to shape product strategy, maintain roadmaps, define features and functionalities, and prioritize initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into clear product documentation such as project briefs, strategy presentations, user stories, acceptance criteria, and go-to-market plans.
  • Act as the primary product representative for day-to-day project activities, including managing multi-phase capital or expense projects.
  • Participate fully in project squads to ensure successful completion of initiatives.
  • Support defect triage by collaborating with technical, creative, and production teams to diagnose issues, provide support, and escalate blockers as necessary.
  • Negotiate solutions to overcome project obstacles.
  • Oversee and prioritize the Jira product backlog consistently.
  • Provide regular product and performance updates to business and technology leaders.
  • Validate deliverables in quality assurance and production environments to ensure completeness.
  • Maintain close partnerships to understand business needs and roadmaps, communicating insights to Lead Product Manager and senior leadership.
  • Support product delivery and longevity including build, content configuration, and incident management to guarantee uptime of digital experiences.
  • Drive documentation, testing, coordination of feature launches and enhancements, and support related research, analytics, and logistics.

  • Experience with API website integrations and leading itinerary launches and go-to-market plans.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of product management or related experience.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical, user, and business issues in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven success working within large matrixed organizations and building strong partnerships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including leading requirements sessions.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate ideas into actionable initiatives and demonstrate personal initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority and high-visibility projects with agility to adapt priorities.
  • Flexibility to refine processes and documentation continuously for improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and all phases of the software life cycle.
  • Experience leading small to medium scale digital and technology projects including estimation, scoping, and planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience enhancing workflows using agentic AI and tools like Cursor, Claude, and Copilot.
  • Familiarity with Disney digital platforms such as Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions website, Seaware, or Quickbase.
  • Strong expertise in consumer product design and ability to create solutions tailored to user groups.
  • Skill evaluating emerging technologies and companies for suitability and viability.
  • Experience with tools including Confluence, Jira, Miro, Microsoft Suite (including SharePoint), and Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge of content management systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and inquisitive.
  • Proficient communicator across various formats and organizational levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive with ability to succeed in ambiguous, fast-paced settings.
  • Solid understanding of market trends, products, competitor landscape, and ability to connect technology with business value verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical and financial capabilities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a graduate degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position in Celebration, FL is $111,900 to $150,000 annually. The actual base pay offered depends on internal equity, geographic region, knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional compensation may include bonuses and/or long-term incentives. Benefits encompass comprehensive medical, financial, and other options depending on role level.
