About the Role
We are embarking on a significant digital transformation with our enterprise systems playing a central role. As the Product Manager for Enterprise Systems, you will lead the strategic direction, roadmap development, and overall performance management of platforms that support finance, customer experience, and work management across Hutt City Council. This position will require close collaboration with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and agile delivery teams to ensure our systems are efficient, forward-looking, and truly focused on our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
- Engage with stakeholders and suppliers to capture business requirements and manage expectations effectively.
- Drive user adoption through change management support, training, and ongoing product enhancements.
- Lead agile product delivery processes to ensure high-quality, timely solutions.
- Promote a positive team atmosphere emphasizing wellbeing, teamwork, and meaningful impact.
Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' experience in product management, preferably with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, Asset Management, or Work Management systems.
- Proven aptitude for building and maintaining trusted relationships across various organizational levels.
- Excellent communication and change management skills, adept at guiding people through transitions.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies including backlog management, defining user stories, and facilitating agile ceremonies.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, with experience in local government considered advantageous.
