Job description
Role Overview
This role sits within a manufacturer of construction machinery. The selected person will back both senior management and executive leadership in shaping product strategy, while serving as the link between customer needs, research and development, and sales/marketing teams.
Market Research
- Track market movements and study competitors.
- Identify present and future customer needs, technical expectations, and potential opportunities or risks across global markets.
- Visit trade fairs, customers, and construction sites to gather insights.
- Prepare findings and discuss them with leadership.
- Create market reports and analytical summaries.
Strategic Product Management
- Build product strategies and prepare business feasibility studies to support management decisions.
- Contribute to the rollout of product strategies.
- Take part in pricing strategy work.
- Help shape the technology roadmap together with R&D.
- Draft product specifications.
- Manage product lifecycle activities.
- Support product improvements and innovation initiatives.
Market Launch and Sales Enablement
- Work closely with marketing, regional product managers, subsidiaries, sales teams, and customers.
- Support marketing by preparing technical materials such as data sheets and product presentations like brochures.
- Deliver product training for sales, marketing, and service teams.
- Share knowledge and assist subsidiaries and sales organizations during new product launches.
Professional Requirements
- Degree in engineering such as mechanical, industrial, electrical, or mechatronics; a background in business administration is considered an advantage.
- Several years of experience in product management within an international mechanical engineering environment.
- Strong technical grasp of complex, explanation-heavy products.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office tools.

- Diplomatic, target-driven, and able to drive implementation effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
