Role Overview

We seek a Product Manager who blends expertise in product ownership, data-driven analysis, and close collaboration with customers. This position is far from a conventional desk job; it involves frequent interaction with customers, including site visits to industrial facilities to observe real-world product applications and identify opportunities for enhanced impact and value.

This role serves as the nexus connecting customers with engineering, AI, operations, and commercial departments. You will critically assess customer inputs to discern between unique requests and scalable product needs, translating valuable insights into clear priorities and product definitions. Responsibilities merge facets of product management, analytics, and customer success, securing effective product adoption and benefit realization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture enduring relationships with current customers, gaining deep insights into their use of Jaipur Robotics' products.
  • Perform regular site visits to observe product deployment, understand operational procedures, collect feedback, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Critically evaluate customer demands to differentiate between essential product needs and custom or low-impact features.
  • Aggregate feedback across clients to identify recurring trends, common challenges, and broad market opportunities.
  • Convert customer requirements into explicit product documentation, such as user stories, detailed specifications, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering, AI, operations, commercial teams, and leadership to set and maintain the product roadmap and priorities.
  • Assess product possibilities considering customer value, strategic fit, development complexity, scalability, and commercial outcomes.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to validate customer feedback and inform prioritization.
  • Analyze user engagement, feature usage, and product performance through tools including PostHog, Metabase, databases, spreadsheets, and custom dashboards.
  • Write and run SQL queries to explore product and client data, identify patterns, troubleshoot, and evaluate new feature effects.
  • Apply statistical thinking to distinguish meaningful trends for data-driven decision-making.
  • Define tangible success metrics encompassing adoption, usage, retention, satisfaction, operational influence, and business value.
  • Track feature performance post-release and organize iterative improvements based on insights and feedback.
  • Support new product launches, client onboarding, training sessions, and rollout of updated functionalities.
  • Ensure customers comprehend and effectively utilize the product, maximizing measurable value from each deployment.
  • Work in tandem with Customer Success and Commercial teams to spot adoption challenges, expansion potential, and recurrent customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with technical staff throughout troubleshooting, feature validation, and testing phases.
  • Communicate product decisions transparently with customers, including rationale behind deprioritizing requests or suggesting alternate solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of customer feedback, product decisions, configurations, and follow-up measures.
  • Contribute to the creation of scalable product and customer-success processes supporting Jaipur Robotics' growth across multiple markets.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, computer science, automation, data science, electronics, industrial engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • At least two years of professional experience in product management, product engineering, solutions engineering, technical customer success, business analysis, or comparable roles involving technical customer interaction.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret and query data effectively.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
  • Sound knowledge of statistics, data interpretation, and experimental methodologies.
  • Experience with product analytics or monitoring tools such as PostHog, Metabase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Ability to distill complex technical and operational issues into clear, structured product requirements.
  • Excellent judgment when evaluating customer requests to define core product direction.
  • Comfortable collaborating with software and AI engineers, field teams, IT, and operational staff.
  • Strong relational and customer-facing skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills for explaining priorities, trade-offs, and technical concepts clearly.
  • High degree of autonomy, responsibility, and organizational discipline.
  • Adaptability to early-stage startup environments where processes are evolving.
  • Readiness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally internationally.
  • Willingness to work onsite in industrial settings.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in AI, computer vision, industrial automation, IoT, edge computing, or data-intensive product development.
  • Prior experience merging product management with customer success functions.
  • Experience with industrial, utility, waste management, manufacturing, or infrastructure clients.
  • Skilled in customer discovery techniques like user interviews, site visits, usability tests, and workflow evaluations.
  • Familiarity with Python, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructures, or analytics engineering.
  • Expertise in defining product metrics, dashboards, and analyzing feature adoption.
  • Understanding of B2B SaaS products deployed across various customer environments.
  • Experience in early-stage startup or scale-up contexts.
  • Language skills in German, French, Italian, or Spanish are advantageous.
  • Residency in Switzerland, Italy, or other European nations with good transport links preferred.
