About the Role
This key position at Reo Group, based in Barangaroo, Sydney, offers a unique opportunity for a hands-on Product Manager to lead impactful technology, data, and transformational projects within a rapidly expanding global company. The role demands close collaboration with business units to convert complicated challenges into actionable plans, driving initiatives across software development, workflows, reporting, and AI-driven enhancements.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, the Product Manager will be pivotal in executing the company's technology, data, and AI transformation strategy. Positioned at the crossroads of business operations, technology, and project delivery, this role takes accountability for product initiatives that boost operational efficiencies, enhance data transparency, and implement scalable business solutions. Working alongside senior leadership, the candidate will prioritize initiatives, develop roadmaps, and guarantee technology investments align with commercial goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain product roadmaps, manage backlogs, and prioritize delivery across multiple technology projects.
- Convert complex business issues into well-defined product requirements and actionable delivery plans.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify operational pain points and opportunities for enhancement.
- Coordinate geographically dispersed delivery teams, fostering momentum with asynchronous working methods.
- Partner with technical teams to assess delivery options, constraints, dependencies, and compromises.
- Increase visibility on ongoing initiatives, sequencing of deliveries, risks, priorities, and business outcomes.
- Facilitate the implementation and adoption of solutions related to data, reporting, workflows, and AI.
- Enhance the maturity and structure of product management and delivery processes in a lean environment.
- Engage with external vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure delivery aligns with commercial objectives.
- Monitor benefits, adoption rates, and measurable business value from key product and transformation projects.
- Establish trust across stakeholders by simplifying complexity and delivering clear communication and progress updates.
- Drive the organisation towards scalable, data-driven, and operationally sustainable practices.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced Product Manager or Product Owner with a proven record of delivering complex technology, data, or organizational transformation projects from inception through adoption. They demonstrate genuine accountability over product roadmaps, prioritization, and delivery, thriving at the intersection of business and technology. They excel at problem-solving, stakeholder influence, and delivering practical, measurable outcomes. A commercial mindset, curiosity, and adaptability to evolving priorities and ambiguity are essential.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required, capable of building trust across executives, operations, and technical teams. The candidate can translate intricate technical concepts into straightforward business language, facilitate challenging discussions, and align diverse groups around shared goals. Experience managing distributed teams internationally and proficiency with modern collaboration and asynchronous work techniques is highly valued.
A proactive, hands-on attitude toward creating and refining processes rather than merely maintaining them is fundamental. The candidate should be motivated by structuring complexity, seeking optimisation opportunities, and enhancing organisational efficiency via technology, data, and automation. Exposure to regulated, data-centric, or operationally complex sectors such as financial services, insurance, or fintech will be advantageous. The role fits best within a lean, cooperative, and outcome-driven culture valuing ownership, initiative, and delivery over hierarchy or bureaucracy.
