Job description
Overview
Qatar Airways is looking for a Product Integration Specialist to join its Product Development and Design team in Doha. The role sits within the IFEC and Connected Cabin Experience portfolio and focuses on coordinating the delivery of digital product, platform, system, and third-party integrations from planning through release and early support.
This position is best suited to someone who enjoys structured delivery work, cross-team coordination, and keeping complex integration activity documented, monitored, and moving forward. You will work under the guidance of the Product Integration Manager and collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, cyber security, operations, and vendor teams.
The role is based in Qatar-Doha, belongs to the Corporate & Commercial job family, and the closing date is 2026-07-31. Reference number: 2600007Y.
What the role involves
Your day-to-day focus will be on helping organise integration work across multiple stakeholders, making sure requirements, dependencies, milestones, testing inputs, and release tasks remain clear and traceable. You will support the manager in turning business and functional needs into practical integration plans and implementation work packages, while also helping validate interface readiness, technical dependencies, and deployment preparation.
The role is delivery-focused and coordination-heavy, with an emphasis on keeping artefacts current, tracking risks and issues, supporting testing and release activities, and ensuring that implementation work follows governance and service continuity requirements. You will also help capture lessons learned and contribute to better ways of working over time.
Core responsibilities
- Coordinate assigned integration activities from end to end, ensuring plans, dependencies, deliverables, and milestones are properly recorded and monitored.
- Assist in converting business, product, and functional requirements into structured integration plans, interface tasks, and implementation work packages.
- Work with internal teams and external suppliers to support alignment on solution design, interface preparedness, and deployment planning.
- Help confirm interface specifications, technical dependencies, configuration status, and integration deliverables with relevant stakeholders.
- Track integration progress and promptly highlight delays, defects, blockers, and other delivery risks to the Product Integration Manager.
- Maintain risk and issue registers, including mitigation actions and resolution status across active workstreams.
- Prepare concise, factual escalation summaries for delivery concerns when required.
- Produce and maintain integration documentation such as traceability matrices, interface logs, dependency registers, test plans, defect logs, deployment checklists, and operational readiness records.
- Keep all documents accurate, controlled by version, and available to the right stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support status reporting, meeting notes, and governance materials as directed by the manager.
- Assist with system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, and release readiness follow-up.
- Help ensure changes are executed in line with release control, change governance, and continuity expectations.
- Support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and transition-to-support activities so solutions stabilise smoothly after launch.
- Record post-implementation observations, lessons learned, and service performance insights to help improve future delivery.
- Contribute to team knowledge by keeping records current and identifying better ways to coordinate integration work.
Requirements
- High School or Vocational Qualification with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience in project coordination, systems integration support, or digital product delivery.
- Proven background in project delivery, systems integration, or digital product coordination within a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of digital product delivery and systems integration concepts, including dependencies across applications, platforms, services, and third-party solutions.
- Experience creating and maintaining structured delivery documents such as traceability matrices, interface inventories, issue logs, deployment records, and operational readiness materials.
- Practical exposure to testing and release activities, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and cutover support.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, product, engineering, operations, and vendor groups.
- Ability to track delivery status, manage risk and issue logs, and escalate concerns clearly and quickly to senior stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of change control, release governance, and service transition processes in a structured delivery setting.
- Clear written communication skills for producing accurate status reports, meeting documentation, and governance updates.
- Experience in connected digital platforms, consumer technology, media, or enterprise systems is preferred.
- Exposure to IFEC systems, connected cabin platforms, or aviation digital products is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- Working understanding of APIs, middleware, data flows, and service integration concepts is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and third-party suppliers in delivery work is preferred.
- Exposure to UI/UX product environments and interest in digital passenger or consumer experience is preferred.
