Position Overview
KHAITE is seeking a Product Development Intern for the Non-Apparel category for the Fall 2026 semester. This role is based at the New York City headquarters and reports to the Senior Product Developer, Non-Apparel. This internship is unpaid and designed for college credit only.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the launch of samples by ensuring that all necessary materials and details are prepared for development partners in Italy.
- Assist with mock-ups, allocation of materials, and preparation of technical documentation to facilitate sample creation.
- Update and maintain design boards incorporating up-to-date product information, including style names, material swatches, color references, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Organize samples for fitting sessions and keep the working environment orderly.
- Manage the receipt and dispatch of sample packages efficiently.
- Support product repair processes and address customer inquiries in collaboration with production and merchandising teams.
- Assist with structuring, formatting, and layout for internal presentations and seasonal review meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Technical Design, or similar disciplines.
- Prior experience in production specifically within the non-apparel category is required.
- Proficiency with PLM systems, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of RLM software is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work swiftly and effectively meet deadlines.
