About the Role

This opportunity is with a partner company based in the United States seeking a Product Designer focused on Places. The role entails shaping the core aspects of a global discovery product by crafting scalable, intuitive, and consistent user experiences. It emphasizes design craftsmanship, systems thinking, and collaboration with engineering and product partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, enhance, and thoroughly document design systems within Figma, ensuring organized and consistent components ready for engineering deployment.
  • Develop precise design specifications and documentation to facilitate accurate implementation by engineers.
  • Work alongside senior designers to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface designs.
  • Evaluate current components, patterns, and screens to find inconsistencies and areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to guarantee precise multi-platform design implementations.
  • Advocate for accessibility, scalability, usability, and visual uniformity best practices.
  • Engage in design reviews by providing constructive feedback and suggesting improvements at the system level.
  • Support the creation of reusable design patterns to boost team efficiency and product excellence.
  • Contribute to streamlined workflows that enable faster product releases while maintaining high design standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Between 2 to 4 years of experience in product or UI/UX design or related fields.
  • Proven ability to work with design systems, reusable components, and scalable UI patterns.
  • Advanced skills with Figma, including management of libraries, variants, and structured design files.
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organizational and documentation capabilities.
  • Capability to transform product requirements into clear, implementation-ready designs.
  • A portfolio showcasing strong UI design expertise, contributions to design systems, and scalable design approaches.
  • Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or comparable professional qualifications.
  • Effective communication skills and a track record of fruitful collaboration with design, engineering, and product teams.
  • A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for optimizing processes and elevating product experience quality.
  • Preferred understanding of accessibility principles and responsive design techniques.
