About the Role
As the Product & Brand Designer at Doctorflix, you will serve as the central creative force within our team. You will participate actively in the product development cycle, crafting new features for our educational platform tailored for medical professionals. Your responsibilities will range from conducting user research and structuring information architecture to designing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and pixel-perfect user interfaces. Additionally, you will perform usability tests with physicians to ensure an intuitive user experience. Alongside product design, you will manage Doctorflix's visual identity and develop AI-assisted workflows enabling our business team to create brand-consistent assets independently.
Responsibilities
- Design user-centric UX/UI features involving user flows, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed UI to make complex medical content accessible and enjoyable for doctors.
- Validate design choices through actionable user feedback and usability testing, continuously refining solutions beyond initial mockups.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to oversee features from conception through to final development handoff.
- Maintain and evolve our Figma design system and component library to ensure consistent and efficient design delivery across product and marketing.
- Produce high-quality brand and product visuals that uphold the company’s sophisticated design standards.
- Construct AI-driven automated workflows and templates that empower the business team to independently generate branded materials such as flyers, website elements, and social media creatives, minimizing manual editing tasks.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 2 to 5 years of professional experience in digital product design with a strong portfolio illustrating delivered projects.
- Your portfolio must reflect proficiency in both product UX/UI and brand/visual design, showing versatility beyond specialization in a single area.
- Proficient in user-centered design methodologies including user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and usability testing, evidenced by completed products.
- Highly skilled with Figma and familiar with contemporary design system practices.
- Demonstrated practical experience incorporating AI tools into real-world design and production workflows.
- Capable of independently managing design responsibilities and comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments.
- Fluent in both English and German.
Desirable extras: Experience creating templates or automation for users without design skills; skills in motion graphics or video production; basic knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML/CSS.
