About the Design Team

The Agoda Design Team is a hands-on, collaborative group of product designers working on product experiences from Bangkok. The team partners closely with product managers and engineers to solve customer problems and shape workflows, interactions, and visual systems. Designers in this group contribute at both execution and strategy levels, helping influence product direction while building experiences that are practical, cohesive, and customer-focused.

Role Overview

As a Product Designer L1, you will design experiences that serve a wide range of users across regions and use cases. The role calls for strong attention to usability, accessibility, and consistency, along with the ability to interpret user behavior and data to guide design decisions. You will help improve customer experience across the platform and contribute to creating intuitive, high-quality products at scale.

What You Will Do

  • Lead discovery work and support the shaping of product requirements.
  • Build and test prototypes and hypotheses with users to gather insight.
  • Share and present design work with teammates and senior stakeholders in both live and asynchronous formats.
  • Participate actively in weekly design critiques, workshops, all-hands sessions, and squad meetings.
  • Document your thinking clearly, including the rationale behind your design choices.
  • Promote consistency and alignment across a growing suite of products and features.
  • Contribute strategic design thinking that connects user needs with business goals, content, and technology.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a product designer, supported by a strong portfolio that demonstrates user-centered thinking.
  • Experience facilitating discovery and ideation workshops and aligning teams around a shared direction.
  • A proven ability to design detailed user flows and end-to-end customer journeys.
  • Comfort working at the systems level, not only at the screen or component level.
  • Strong collaboration skills, including listening, negotiation, and decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-moving environment.

Design Qualities Valued

  • Clear communication of ideas and design solutions.
  • The ability to give feedback with both empathy and directness.
  • Comfort with uncertainty and a naturally curious mindset.
  • Skill in turning qualitative and quantitative insights into sound design choices.
  • A positive, motivated, high-integrity approach that supports team culture.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in an online travel agency.
  • Experience creating consumer-facing products.
  • Strong visual design ability.
