Job description
About the Role
Global Beauty Care creates trend-forward beauty products that perform well in off-price and value-focused retail. Its assortment is sold through major retailers such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Burlington, and similar stores. The company moves quickly, keeps a close eye on trends, and emphasizes packaging and visual presentation that feel premium while remaining accessible in price.
This is a practical, hands-on design position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving product environment. You will help shape the visual direction of beauty and personal care products, from packaging concepts to marketing materials and brand assets. Your work will directly influence how products appear both on store shelves and online.
Location and Work Setup
Brooklyn, NY. The role is based in-office with a hybrid arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for packaging, product, marketing, and digital design work across a range of beauty and personal care brands.
- Create packaging artwork from early concepts through final press-ready files.
- Develop dielines, labels, cartons, and component specifications in coordination with production teams and vendors.
- Prepare design files that satisfy print and manufacturing requirements for different materials and formats.
- Keep brand visuals consistent across product lines while adjusting designs to fit retailer and channel needs.
- Produce marketing collateral such as linesheets, sell sheets, trade show assets, and promotional graphics.
- Design digital content for e-commerce, including Amazon A+ material, product visuals, and banner advertising.
- Support social media and brand storytelling with current, market-aware visual design.
- Work closely with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing to launch new SKUs on time.
- Handle several projects at once while meeting tight deadlines and preserving quality.
- Maintain organized design libraries and clean file management systems.
- Keep up with beauty packaging trends, retail presentation styles, and competitor activity.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional design experience, preferably in beauty, personal care, CPG, or packaging.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is essential.
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exposure to Figma, Canva, or AI-supported design tools is an added advantage.
- Understanding of print production, pre-press processes, and final file preparation.
- Strong visual judgment around trend, color, typography, and shelf impact.
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- High attention to detail and the confidence to respond to direction while contributing original ideas.
- A portfolio or lookbook is mandatory for consideration; applications without one will not be reviewed.
- Accepted portfolio formats include an online link or a PDF lookbook.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position. Compensation is competitive and depends on experience. The company offers a collaborative environment with close interaction across product development, sales, and marketing, and the work has visible impact across retail locations nationwide.
