Job description
Role overview
Telecel Ghana is looking for a Product and Pricing Specialist to oversee pricing strategy across its product and service portfolio. The position focuses on setting effective price points, improving commercial performance, and using market and customer insight to support revenue and customer growth.
The ideal candidate will bring strong numerical ability, confidence with advanced Excel-based modelling, and a clear understanding of market dynamics. Prior exposure to pricing work will be an added advantage.
What you will do
- Review product and market performance, spot issues early, and identify opportunities to grow revenue and expand the customer base.
- Own the post-launch management of pricing initiatives, working with Product and Segment Managers and customer-facing teams to gather feedback, assess gaps, and drive improvements.
- Handle the full pricing and initiative development pipeline, coordinating with Technology, Finance, and approval stakeholders to move work forward.
- Work with the Insights team to collect market intelligence for new propositions, and routinely test, validate, report on, and advise on tariffs versus competitors.
- Ensure the portfolio remains competitive and well positioned to stimulate customer activity and improve ARPU.
- Keep the pricing dashboard updated with key insights that support revenue and customer growth decisions.
- Screen business proposals for commercial feasibility and strategic fit, and build the case for approval together with the Finance Business Partner.
- Monitor, report, and advise on daily KPIs including ppm, ppmb, mou/sub, mb/sub, data ARPU, voice ARPU, and rgs.
- Share updates on commercial reporting such as revenue by leg of use, usage trends, pricing performance, and gross margin.
What we are looking for
- A strong first degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in customer analytics, with telecom industry experience considered a strong advantage.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, ideally backed by a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Proven ability to combine commercial thinking with technical modelling.
- Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills.
- Project management experience.
- A calm, professional approach with the confidence to manage stakeholders at all levels and remain effective under pressure.
- Ambition and readiness to contribute to a transformation-focused role at Telecel Ghana.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open to professionals who meet the academic and experience requirements and are prepared to work onsite in Accra, Ghana.
