About OUTPLAY
OUTPLAY is a bold pet lifestyle brand based in Singapore that creates stylish and functional products such as leashes, collars, toys, and accessories for pet owners seeking both aesthetics and practicality.
Role Overview
We are looking for a versatile designer to take ownership of both product design and brand marketing materials. This role involves designing new physical products and their packaging as well as creating marketing collateral to define the OUTPLAY brand identity, working closely with the founder from briefing to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design new product SKUs including leashes, collars, harnesses, and accessories, from concept through to technical specifications and supplier-ready documentation.
- Create packaging elements such as hang tags, product labels, and retail inserts that align with brand guidelines and are print-ready.
- Develop brand collateral for events including displays, banners, tablecloths, and pop-up booth materials.
- Produce static marketing graphics for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and paid advertisements.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers and manufacturers to modify designs based on sample feedback.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2 to 4 years of design experience with a strong portfolio including physical product design (packaging, product design, or print production) beyond just digital or social media graphics.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for preparing print-ready and supplier-ready files, plus Canva for quick social content creation.
- Familiarity with print production requirements such as bleed, safe zones, die-lines, and file preparation for manufacturing.
- Excellent visual judgment and confidence to challenge design decisions when necessary.
- Bonus skills include an engineering or industrial design background with understanding of materials and product manufacturing tolerances.
- Experience collaborating with overseas factories or suppliers is an advantage.
- Pet ownership, especially dogs, or hands-on experience designing for dog owners are pluses; a genuine liking for dogs is mandatory.
Additional Information
This position is available as a full-time role for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only or as a freelance retainer. The work arrangement is semi-remote with occasional days working onsite.
