Overview
Join our team as a Podcast Producer for The Daily T, working closely with the senior and executive producers to deliver award-winning daily episodes. This role involves collaboration with presenters, video editors, and social producers to bring each podcast to life across audio, visual, and social channels.
Responsibilities
- Lead the production of The Telegraph's Daily T podcast alongside executive and senior producers, presenters, video and social producers.
- Daily planning, producing, editing, and publishing of podcast episodes.
- Coordinate with producers and presenters to finalize show outlines and structure.
- Create and polish daily show briefs collaboratively with the production team.
- Work with senior Audio & Video team members to organize publishing schedules.
- Manage distribution and publication of podcast assets and promotional content on the CMS platform.
- Support expansion of The Daily T’s podcast offerings including Royal T and Weekend T series.
- Collaborate with video and social media producers to optimize content for YouTube and social platforms to increase audience reach.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven expertise producing visualized broadcasts, podcasts, or digital shows.
- Strong background in gallery producing for live or as-live studio recordings.
- Proficiency in audio editing and desirable experience with video editing for longform and social clips.
- Experience with live events, outside broadcasts, and production shoots.
- Ability to produce quick turnaround content under tight deadlines in a continuous news environment.
- Skilled at securing newsworthy interview guests.
- Familiarity with digital CMS and social media publishing tools.
- Experience collaborating with newsroom teams and notable journalists and presenters.
- Knowledge of YouTube analytics and data-driven content optimization.
- An understanding of The Telegraph's editorial voice and strong editorial judgement guided by media law.
- Passion for current news and awareness of daily news cycles.
- Interest in innovating digital formats and building podcast listener communities.
