About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and resourceful Events and Content Producer based in Los Angeles to join our team on a project-based freelance contract. This role involves leading the production of events along with opportunities to handle photo shoots, video shoots, advertising campaigns, branded content, and other creative projects. The ideal candidate is versatile and comfortable managing all aspects of production including logistics, vendor relations, budgeting, and team coordination, always maintaining calm, clarity, and structure throughout every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee event production from initial concept through to execution and closing procedures.
- Transform creative ideas into feasible production plans with detailed documentation such as schedules, run sheets, budgets, and staffing lists.
- Source and manage venues, vendors, talent, and crew by negotiating contracts and maintaining relationships.
- Handle logistics including permits, equipment arrangements, travel, and on-site requirements ensuring smooth operations.
- Lead event and shoot-day activities, synchronizing teams, vendors, and stakeholders on-site.
- Track and manage invoices, budgeting, expenses, and ensure timely project wrap-up and follow-up.
- Produce occasional photo and video shoots, advertisements, and content initiatives with full project management from preproduction to delivery.
- Coordinate production assets such as signage, presentations, printed materials, and branded collateral ensuring design accuracy and timely delivery.
- Maintain organized and effective communication via emails, shared documents, project management tools, and trackers.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential project issues by communicating early and presenting viable solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience producing events, creative projects, or advertising campaigns, particularly in dynamic and team-oriented settings.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects attentively and efficiently.
- Financial savvy in budget development, monitoring, and cost reconciliation to keep projects within financial parameters.
- Excellent negotiation abilities for securing competitive pricing and terms with vendors and production partners.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, shared drives, and other project management software.
- Ability to prepare clear and professional production documents and maintain excellent written communication.
- Independent and trustworthy with good judgment to decide when to escalate or consult team members.
- Preferred: Access to a reliable network of vendors, crew, and creative collaborators in the Los Angeles area.
