Job description
Position summary
As a Produce Stocker with Walmart Canada, you’ll support the produce department by keeping it organized, well stocked, accurately priced, and ready for customers. This role is a strong match for someone who wants to build retail and customer service experience while working in a fast-paced store environment.
Key responsibilities
- Keep the produce area clean, organized, and properly zoned.
- Move stock forward, rotate inventory, and remove any items that are expired.
- Make sure merchandise has the correct signs, labels, and pricing.
- Follow cold-chain expectations, including thermometer checks and calibration, temperature logging, and safe handling of food products.
- Use proper food safety, sanitation, and cleaning practices at all times.
- Complete ordering tasks and handle clearance, markdowns, markups, and signage updates according to procedure.
- Ensure the department remains fully stocked and ready for business.
- Follow health and safety rules consistently.
- Stock merchandise, pick items as needed, downstock when required, apply product protection when necessary, and complete modulars, flex modulars, and new shelf-cap setups.
Compensation
The starting hourly pay for this position is $16.80.
Minimum qualifications
Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
