Job description
Position overview
As a Produce Stocker with Walmart Canada, you will help keep the produce department ready for customers while delivering friendly, dependable service. The role is centered on maintaining product availability, keeping the area organized, and supporting the retail sales floor in a fast-paced environment.
Key duties
- Keep the produce section neat, organized, and properly zoned.
- Check stock rotation and remove items that are expired or nearing expiry.
- Make sure products are clearly labeled, signed, and priced correctly.
- Follow cold-chain practices, including thermometer checks and temperature logs, as well as food storage and handling rules.
- Use correct sanitation and cleaning routines to maintain department standards.
- Carry out ordering-related tasks and handle clearance, markups, markdowns, and labeling/signage procedures correctly.
- Ensure the department stays well stocked and prepared for customer traffic.
- Comply with health and safety requirements at all times.
- Stock merchandise and picks, downstock when needed, apply product protection when required, and complete modular sets, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
Pay information
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.30.
