Procurement to Pay / Order to Cash Expert

Role Overview

This position focuses on managing payment settlement activities and supporting the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes within a finance environment. The role requires close coordination with vendors, accounting, and finance teams to keep payment records accurate, resolve discrepancies, and improve efficiency across settlement operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the accounts payable aging report, flag overdue items, and set priorities for follow-up.
• Work with suppliers to fix payment mismatches and discuss revised payment terms when needed.
• Log and follow up on settlement-related actions, keeping complete and accurate records of every interaction.
• Compile regular settlement updates and share them with management.
• Partner with accounting and finance colleagues to resolve payment concerns and reduce repeat issues.
• Stay current on payment rules and internal procedures to ensure all work follows company standards.
• Support the creation and rollout of process improvements that raise settlement speed and overall effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A college or university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience in the financial services sector, ideally with exposure to settlement and cash operations.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially advanced Excel capabilities.
• Hands-on experience using accounting platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills, with confidence in vendor negotiation.
• Good planning and prioritization abilities, with the capacity to manage several tasks at once.
• High attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial data discreetly.
