Procurement Specialist

Role Overview

This part-time remote position as a Procurement Specialist is centered on supporting the sourcing and purchasing processes for Fan Outfitters’ merchandise range. The Specialist will handle purchase order management, keep track of order progress, and coordinate inventory requirements with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate suppliers by monitoring pricing structures and delivery performance to ensure procurement quality.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase and procurement records.
• Assist with contract negotiations and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
• Analyze purchasing data to identify trends and optimize costs effectively.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, inventory control, and finance teams to ensure timely and consistent product availability for customers.

Candidate Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes, including creating, managing, and tracking purchase orders using appropriate systems.
• Capability to evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to assess vendor reliability and favorable conditions.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and support strategic purchasing decisions.
• Experience in procurement within retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods sectors, preferably in apparel or licensed merchandise.
• Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail, especially when handling multiple tasks in a remote and part-time setup.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal, and familiarity with standard business software and procurement tools.
• Educational background or training in supply chain, business administration, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
