Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are an expanding recycling plant seeking an experienced, proactive, and results-oriented Senior Procurement Specialist to oversee comprehensive purchasing tasks. This position involves sourcing recyclable raw materials, securing industrial spare parts and equipment, and managing supplier relationships throughout the UAE to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Strategically source and evaluate recyclable raw materials such as plastics, cardboard, and metals at competitive prices.
• Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to procure machinery spare parts including hydraulics, balers, conveyors, and crushers, along with necessary operational consumables to avoid downtime.
• Develop and maintain a strong supplier network; negotiate contracts, payment terms, discounts, and delivery schedules.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs by analyzing market pricing trends to maximize value on operational expenditures.
• Coordinate logistics and delivery with suppliers while ensuring all incoming items meet quality standards.
• Keep detailed procurement records, including purchase orders, vendor assessments, and budget tracking.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Between four to seven years of procurement experience within manufacturing, industrial facilities, or contracting sectors in the UAE.
• Technical knowledge of industrial spare parts procurement such as hydraulics, mechanical parts, heavy machinery, or construction materials with insight into UAE supplier markets.
• Strong negotiation skills, contract management experience, commercial awareness, and decisive judgment.
• Professional fluency in English, with Arabic language skills considered a significant plus.
• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
