About the Role

Join the Singapore Police Force (SPF) as a Procurement Officer within the Training Command located at the Home Team Academy in Choa Chu Kang. SPF is dedicated to maintaining public safety by preventing, deterring, and detecting crime. The Training Command focuses on enhancing the skills and leadership of SPF officers through well-designed training policies and programs emphasizing teamwork and continuous learning.

As part of the Management Executive Scheme, you will be instrumental in providing effective administrative support and directly assisting internal stakeholders with their procurement needs, ensuring compliance with government procurement regulations.

Responsibilities

• Acquire proficiency in handling procurement tasks using financial systems while adhering to relevant finance and procurement laws, policies, and procedures.
• Manage a substantial volume of procurement requests in collaboration with various users, maintaining audit compliance.
• Process financial transactions accurately and within specified deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience or academic exposure to Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical abilities with readiness to manage a high workload.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Efficient time management skills to meet stringent deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
