About the Role

A luxury real estate and construction firm is looking for a motivated and meticulous Procurement Officer to handle the acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for real estate, hospitality, and development projects. This role is tailored to someone with a background in Architecture and experience in construction, real estate, or project-based settings. The successful candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing procurement activities, fostering supplier relationships, and ensuring timely procurement while controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess suppliers, contractors, and service providers needed for projects and operations.
  • Collect quotations, perform comparative cost analyses, and suggest economical procurement choices.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, RFQs, and other purchasing paperwork.
  • Ensure prompt procurement of construction materials, finishes, equipment, and project services.
  • Conduct market research to discover dependable suppliers and alternative sourcing options.
  • Develop and nurture strong vendor and contractor partnerships.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contract conditions to optimize value.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related challenges swiftly.
  • Maintain and update approved vendor lists and supplier records.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, contractors, and site teams to understand procurement needs.
  • Track material requests and delivery schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate logistics and material deliveries to various project sites.
  • Oversee inventory monitoring and support stock management when necessary.
  • Contribute to budget control via effective procurement planning and cost tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Verify invoices, delivery documents, and procurement records for accuracy.
  • Keep thorough documentation and records for audits and reporting.
  • Prepare procurement reports, supplier evaluations, and expenditure summaries.
  • Maintain purchasing trackers and schedules, reporting regularly on procurement status and supplier performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture is mandatory.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, contract management, or project coordination within construction or real estate sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and procurement workflows.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
  • Experience collaborating with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Well-developed organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and keen attention to detail.
