Role Overview

This Riyadh-based position is focused on handling procurement for HVAC and MEP project materials, equipment, and subcontracted services. The goal is to ensure technical conformity, competitive commercial terms, and on-time delivery that align with project timelines and business objectives. The role contributes to the successful delivery of HVAC projects throughout Saudi Arabia by working closely with engineering, project, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full procurement process, starting from the requisition stage through to final delivery for HVAC-related projects.
  • Assess technical requirements, BOQs, drawings, and purchase requests to confirm alignment with project specifications.
  • Identify, assess, and qualify suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors, and complete techno-commercial comparisons to secure compliant and cost-effective options.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, payment conditions, delivery timelines, warranties, and contract terms, and raise purchase orders according to company procedures.
  • Work with engineering, estimation, project, warehouse, and finance teams to support seamless execution and material readiness.
  • Track procurement timelines, speed up urgent items, and coordinate manufacturing status, inspections, transport, customs clearance, and delivery to site.
  • Keep procurement documentation, vendor files, tracking reports, and supplier assessments updated in ERP/SAP systems.
  • Review market conditions, pricing changes, and procurement performance indicators to support sourcing strategy and cost-saving efforts.
  • Join supplier discussions, factory inspections, technical review meetings, and vendor improvement initiatives.
  • Guide and assist junior procurement engineers and procurement coordinators when needed.

Required Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required.
  • At least 4 years of procurement experience in HVAC, MEP, or industrial project environments is needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain processes in the HVAC sector is essential.
  • Hands-on experience procuring HVAC equipment and related materials such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, ventilation units, pumps, valves, and other MEP items is expected.
  • Sound understanding of technical specifications, project BOQs, and commercial terms is necessary.
  • Experience dealing with HVAC contractors, OEMs, and regional suppliers in KSA/GCC markets is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and commercial evaluation capabilities are required.
  • Good knowledge of project execution needs, delivery planning, and material coordination is important.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are needed.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving project setting and manage several priorities at once is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP tools, and SAP is required.
  • Familiarity with Saudi procurement regulations and logistics procedures is an added advantage.
