As the business moves into a more intensive phase of growth and delivery, it needs stronger sourcing leadership, tighter vendor control, and centralized commercial governance to back current and upcoming projects.
What the role involves
The Procurement Director will own the procurement and sourcing function across the group’s development activities. The role covers strategic buying, supplier and contractor management, contract discussions, procurement policy, and cost improvement initiatives. A key part of the job is to establish dependable procurement structures, strengthen supplier relationships, raise commercial effectiveness, and keep procurement aligned with project schedules, quality standards, and budget limits.
Working with senior leadership, project directors, QS, engineering, construction, and finance teams, the role will guide procurement planning for major mixed-use developments such as high-rise homes, villas, hotels, office towers, retail podiums, and related infrastructure works. The position also includes managing procurement risk, reviewing international and regional suppliers, supporting tendering and bid analysis, and improving procurement transparency and operational performance across the business.
This is a people leadership role that requires building and developing procurement teams while putting in place structured systems, policies, and reporting practices suitable for a fast-growing development platform with several active projects at once.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is expected to bring 15 to 20 years of leadership experience in procurement, commercial, sourcing, or supply chain roles within large real estate, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or mixed-use development environments. Experience on the developer side, in project procurement planning, contractor coordination, and international sourcing will be especially valuable.
Applicants should have strong commercial judgment, solid contract negotiation skills, and a track record of managing procurement across complex environments with multiple projects running in parallel. Background in large mixed-use schemes, high-rise developments, hospitality projects, or integrated township developments will be an advantage. Experience in regional or multinational organizations, cross-functional stakeholder coordination, and procurement transformation initiatives is also desirable.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, organization, and communication abilities are essential, along with the capacity to work effectively in a fast-changing and entrepreneurial setting.
