Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Business Partner to join the central procurement team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a flexible hybrid work model, requiring 1-2 days per week on-site in South Dublin. The role operates within a demanding, high-volume environment focused on delivering value, enhancing supplier governance, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will serve as a crucial link between procurement and internal departments, driving operational efficiency and improvements in processes, systems, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

  • Assist internal teams in defining procurement needs and sourcing goods and services according to established policies and guidelines.
  • Aid in the preparation, distribution, and evaluation of tender processes.
  • Support the award of contracts and manage the complete procurement lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of procurement processes and training programs.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including taking meeting minutes, analyzing spend, and managing tender documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to boost procurement efficiency.

Contract & Supplier Management

  • Maintain an accurate and compliant central contract register.
  • Support the renewal and ongoing management of contracts.
  • Cultivate and nurture supplier relationships.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance, conducting reviews, and resolving issues.
  • Support supplier risk assessments and spend reporting.
  • Champion procurement practices that are transparent, compliant, and value-driven.

Internal Stakeholder Support

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and support their project delivery.
  • Help prepare Requests for Tender for goods, services, and works.
  • Offer procurement advice and guidance to internal teams.
  • Support procurement planning, negotiation, and contract finalization.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of procurement policies and compliance requirements.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all procurement activities align with internal policies and relevant regulations.
  • Generate reports on contracts, procurement activities, spending, and performance metrics.
  • Support contract governance and risk management initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier adherence to contractual obligations and compliance standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing contracts for goods, services, or works within a complex organizational setting. You should have strong commercial judgment, with proven negotiation and supplier management capabilities. Proficiency in advanced Excel, including data analysis, trend identification, and handling large datasets, is essential. Experience with procurement and/or financial systems is required, along with a solid understanding of procurement principles and sourcing strategies. A Level 8 qualification or equivalent professional experience is necessary.

Additional Information

This is a permanent position with a hybrid working arrangement, based in South Dublin. The salary offered ranges from €47,000 to €52,000, depending on experience.
