Pro Rata Technician

Overview

The Client Support Services team is hiring a Pro Rata Technician to help manage client transactions and support the recovery of reinsurance amounts through accurate and prompt system updates. Key duties

• Take responsibility for an assigned client portfolio and handle the associated technical account work.
• Coordinate with the Market Fiduciary team to support fund collection.
• Oversee Pro Rata post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and other transaction-related steps, including renewals.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, clients, and markets.
• Join training sessions and contribute ideas to the team/department to help resolve issues in reinsurance service processing.

Required background

• Experience in insurance or reinsurance premiums or claims, including handling cash loss or large loss cases, with an interest in moving into reinsurance.
• Strong Excel ability and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to learn technical account structures and expand subject-matter knowledge.
• Ability to organise work effectively and manage expectations.

Preferred experience

• Prior reinsurance claims exposure.
• Previous Pro Rata experience.
• Experience working in a technical broker environment.

Work arrangement

This position follows a hybrid working model. Team members are expected to work from the local office or onsite with clients at least three days each week, with one shared anchor day in the office for full-team in-person collaboration.
