Job description

Role overview

An established investment and wealth management business is looking for an experienced Investment Manager to join its Wealth Management team in Dublin. The role focuses on shaping investment solutions for a diverse client base, including private clients, family offices, corporate clients and institutional investors.

Key responsibilities

You will work closely with advisers and relationship managers to design tailored investment approaches, support portfolio construction and asset allocation, and deliver ongoing recommendations throughout the client journey. The position also requires strong risk awareness and the ability to explain technical investment matters clearly to different audiences.

You will be expected to produce market commentary, investment updates and thematic research, turning complex market movements into practical guidance for advisers and clients. Presenting investment ideas and acting as a dependable specialist for the advisory business are also central to the role.

In addition, you will collaborate with investment specialists and portfolio teams to explore new opportunities, identify product ideas and help implement investment views through a range of instruments. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen the firm’s advisory proposition.

Qualifications

A degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or a closely related subject is required. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.

Professional credentials such as CFA, QFA, CAIA, or an equivalent qualification are viewed very favourably.

Experience and skills

The role calls for 5 to 10 years of experience in investment strategy, portfolio management, wealth management, or a similar investment-focused position.

You should have a solid grasp of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and financial markets, along with the ability to communicate investment ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and quantitative ability is essential, as is advanced Excel capability. Experience with Bloomberg and investment analytics tools is beneficial, and familiarity with Python or another programming language would be an added advantage.

Preferred attributes

The ideal candidate will bring commercial awareness, strategic thinking, strong presentation and communication skills, and a collaborative style that allows you to influence multiple stakeholders. A proactive mindset, curiosity, attention to detail, professionalism, strong ethics, and the ability to build long-term relationships are all important for success in this role.

If you may not meet every requirement but have relevant experience in wealth advisory, portfolio management, investment strategy, or a related area, you are encouraged to make contact with the recruiter.
