Job description
Role overview
Fidelity Investments is looking for a Principal Product Manager to support the growth of its Managed Accounts business within Strategic Advisors Technology. This is a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment where you will help improve client outcomes, shape change, and contribute to an area focused on investment management and continuous improvement.
Team and product context
The Account Management Compute and Review team delivers personalized portfolio management for more than 3 million managed accounts customers. The work supports tax advantages and customizations designed to help customers achieve their investment goals. In this role, you will act as the end-to-end owner for the team’s mission, strategy, product lifecycle, and value creation.
You will partner closely with portfolio engineers, investment architects, and operations colleagues to understand priorities and challenges, then work with analysts and engineers to deliver solutions that are innovative, cost-effective, architecturally aligned, and delivered on time.
What you will do
You will define the direction of the product area, convert strategic goals into practical execution plans, and guide work through discovery, planning, and delivery. The role also involves shaping workflows, breaking initiatives into epics and stories, and helping teams stay aligned to business value and roadmap priorities.
You will be expected to influence stakeholders and peers across teams, support planning for large efforts, identify risks and assumptions, and help remove blockers so the squad can deliver effectively. You will also contribute to improving the team’s culture, tools, and agile ways of working.
Experience and expertise needed
This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology or finance-related field, along with at least 7 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, product ownership, or product management. Strong communication, planning, organization, and presentation skills are essential, including the ability to communicate effectively with both team members and executives.
Experience in distributed, multi-time-zone teams is important, as is familiarity with large and complex product environments. Agile practices and Jira experience, especially from a planning perspective, are expected. Knowledge of financial services is vital, and background in investment management or wealth management is needed; experience with financial optimizer tools is considered an advantage.
Work model
The role is currently offered in a hybrid setup with some flexibility to work remotely. Fidelity is moving gradually toward a fully in-office model, with the transition expected from 2027 onward and no fixed implementation date at this time.
