Job description
Role Summary
As an experienced Principal Engineer, you will lead platform governance, technology lifecycle processes, and operational excellence initiatives by implementing measurable outcomes, risk management, capacity strategies, and service health indicators across enterprise-wide engineering platforms. You will operate as a pivotal member within the Hosting team delivering and constantly enhancing services with a strong focus on automation and code-based management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering efforts by designing high-level architecture patterns and building scalable systems within complex environments.
- Drive technological modernization initiatives, influence technical roadmaps, and coordinate with senior technology leaders.
- Implement contemporary engineering methodologies including AI-enhanced development, process automation, and cloud platform expertise, particularly Azure or GCP.
- Master CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code in distributed, API-centric architectures.
- Promote scalable architectural standards while mentoring teams and enforcing stringent security and stability protocols.
- Bridge technical and business perspectives through superior communication, delivering impactful, cross-domain results.
- Champion engineering quality and project delivery standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least 10 years of professional experience in complex, enterprise engineering roles.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience applying code-driven infrastructure management techniques such as Infrastructure as Code and automated scripting.
- Demonstrated ability to transition legacy or manually operated systems to highly automated, resilient architectures.
- Experienced in incident ownership, leading root cause analyses, and instituting lasting engineering solutions to reduce systemic operational burdens.
- Capable of enhancing enterprise security postures by executing prompt patch management and vulnerability remediation in production settings.
- Proficient in Agile, product-focused, or DevOps squad environments collaborating closely with product teams to deliver platform features.
- Motivated by collaborative innovation and continuous improvement, aiming to engineer positive impact daily.
