Principal Architect - Data Centers and Mission Critical

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect to join a leading international engineering and design consultancy, working remotely from Qatar with occasional travel across the GCC. This role involves spearheading architectural design and implementation of state-of-the-art Data Centers and Mission Critical facilities globally, including projects across the Middle East, Europe, and the USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the architectural design and execution of Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
• Manage all project phases from conceptual design through detailed design to construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including MEP, Structural, Civil, BIM, and specialized consultants.
• Conduct design reviews, facilitate client workshops, and coordinate technical discussions.
• Ensure adherence to relevant building codes, fire and life safety standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to design teams.
• Review technical submissions, materials, and comprehensive design documentation.
• Support project planning initiatives, value engineering exercises, and construction oversight activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of architectural design experience including leadership roles.
• Proven experience delivering Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities, Industrial, or other complex infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of international building codes, fire/life safety regulations, and design standards.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Fluent in Arabic and conversational in English.
