Job description
Position Overview
Join our production team as a Primer Painter, where your expertise with spray guns and finishing tools will be essential in applying paint, stain, and various finishes to cabinetry and related components. Your craftsmanship will uphold the superior quality, appearance, and longevity of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize spray guns to apply paint and finishes to cabinets and components, adhering strictly to provided color samples and established procedures.
- Achieve and maintain quality, productivity, and scheduling benchmarks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verify that cabinetry materials and parts are complete, compliant, and finished within scheduled timelines.
- Detect and communicate any defects or irregularities found in materials, components, or finishing work.
- Embody and promote the company’s core values and management principles.
- Perform additional related duties as requested.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Experience in painting cabinetry, wooden products, or comparable materials is advantageous.
- Familiarity with wood species, stains, varnishes, paints, and finishing products is a plus.
- Physical capability to lift objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Ability to stand, bend, and execute repetitive tasks for prolonged durations.
- Good manual dexterity coupled with precise hand-eye coordination.
- Comfort working in environments with dust, fluctuating temperatures, and strong odors.
Compensation and Work Schedule
- Starting hourly wage of $23.36 per hour.
- Additional evening shift premium of $2.00 per hour.
- Work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:45 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., totaling 40 hours per week.
