About the school
Newton British School, Al Waab is looking for enthusiastic, flexible, and dedicated Primary School Teachers for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to strengthen its team. The school was established in 2008 and delivers the English National Curriculum in a broad, balanced, and internationally focused learning environment. It is part of the Newton Group, founded in 2006, which now includes several private international schools across Qatar.
The school received British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation for three years from the UK Government Department for Education in May 2025, and later satisfied the Qatar National School Accreditation (QNSA) requirements in October 2025. The January 2025 BSO inspection described the school community as positive, caring, and supportive, with pupils who feel valued and looked after.
Role overview
The school is seeking high-quality teachers who can help children reach strong academic standards in a safe, energetic, and engaging setting. Candidate profile
Applicants must be qualified teachers and should ideally have at least 2 years of experience teaching the English National Curriculum. The school requires a Bachelor of Education, or a Bachelor’s degree in English, Mathematics, or Science together with a PGCE. Candidates should be creative, engaging, enthusiastic, and able to communicate well with staff, students, and parents. They must also satisfy the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar (MOEHE) requirements.
