Role overview
This executive position sits on the company’s top leadership team and is accountable for shaping and delivering worldwide partnership and business development strategy. The role focuses on building durable relationships with major enterprises, banks and financial institutions, technology firms, public-sector bodies, and industry partners. It supports ecosystem growth, market entry, resource alignment, and high-value commercial deals to accelerate long-term expansion and global scale. Reporting is directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
What you will do
You will lead the design and execution of the global strategic partnership roadmap, create and refine the partner ecosystem, identify emerging market opportunities, and steer international collaboration efforts. You will negotiate major agreements, manage large partnership programs end to end, and work closely with product, technology, and operations teams to deliver joint offerings and business outcomes. You will also represent the company at global forums and strengthen its profile with government bodies, industry associations, and regulators.
Leadership and team building
This role includes building and managing the strategic partnerships function, setting objectives and KPIs, and creating development plans that help form a high-performing team with strong international business capability.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or other relevant master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate brings at least 15 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development, or international business, along with 5 years of team leadership experience. Experience in multinational companies, fast-growing technology businesses, or international financial institutions is preferred, as is a background in global market expansion and large partnership programs.
Skills and capabilities
The successful candidate should be strong in strategic planning, partner management, high-level negotiation, contract handling, cross-functional coordination, and executive decision-making. The role also requires the ability to lead international teams, integrate resources across departments, and manage complex commercial partnerships independently.
Language requirements
Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Strong international business communication skills are also required. Knowledge of a second foreign language is an added advantage.
Preferred background
Experience in fintech, digital assets, blockchain, Web3, AI, or financial services is preferred. A proven record of global strategic partnerships, cross-border collaboration, international compliance, and worldwide operating models will be highly valued. Existing international business networks and experience in M&A, investment partnerships, or capital cooperation are a plus.
Reporting structure
This role reports directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors.

The position works alongside the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Director of Business Development, Director of Channel Partnerships, Corporate Partnership Manager, and the Partner Success Team.
