Job description
About the Company
BlackBeltHelp provides AI-driven help desk and student engagement services for higher education. Its platform supports round-the-clock IT and student assistance through cloud contact centers and automation tools, and is used by more than 200 colleges and universities across North America.
The business is entering its next growth phase with a solid operating base, an expanding customer footprint, and infrastructure designed to scale. The company is now looking for a President who can lead with an ownership mindset, drive growth, and keep financial discipline and culture strong.
The Opportunity
This is a top leadership position for a builder who has operated at scale. The role carries full responsibility for the P&L, cross-functional execution, and close partnership with the Chairperson and Board. The objective is to support strategic growth and long-term value creation, including possible strategic exit or IPO outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
The selected leader will be expected to:
- Take complete ownership of the P&L by growing revenue, protecting margins, and controlling spend across the business.
- Guide the organization from Series B stage toward the next raise, strategic investment, or exit by building execution discipline and board confidence.
- Set and run the company-wide go-to-market strategy across product, sales, customer success, and delivery.
- Ensure product direction and distribution strategy are aligned so commercial priorities and market differentiation reinforce one another.
- Lead and motivate a senior cross-functional team spanning Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations, while maintaining clear accountability.
- Build stronger operating rigor through forecasting, dashboards, team OKRs, and function-level scorecards.
- Represent the company externally with investors, enterprise clients, partners, and media when needed.
Ideal Background
The preferred candidate will bring deep leadership experience in high-growth SaaS, ideally with exposure to EdTech. They should have directly owned P&L responsibility, especially through periods of inflection, scaling, transformation, or exit. Experience leading Series B or later-stage companies is important.
Strong understanding of both product development and go-to-market execution is required, along with the ability to build and lead cross-functional functions such as Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Marketing. The role also calls for someone who can perform under pressure, balance growth with capital efficiency, and manage investor expectations and market timing.
Prior experience in higher education technology support is mandatory.
