Job description
Role Overview
This position of Preferred Relationship Manager in the Retail Branch Banking division requires handling and growing relationships with High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) under the Preferred program. The individual is responsible for customer acquisition, portfolio enhancement through cross-selling, revenue generation, and delivering exceptional customer service. The role reports directly to the Branch Manager and involves moderate travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers who meet the bank’s product criteria and grow the portfolio value while maintaining hygiene standards.
- Promote and sell a range of bank products by identifying customer needs to increase wallet share and overall product penetration.
- Focus on reducing attrition, achieving revenue goals, and ensuring income-generating product holdings increase.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed with strict adherence to KYC (Know Your Customer) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies.
- Deliver superior customer service by resolving queries timely within established turnaround times and proactively managing complaints with clear communication.
- Encourage and facilitate the usage of direct banking channels and manage smooth portfolio transitions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum educational qualification of graduation is mandatory; post-graduation is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as AMFI, IRDA, or NCFM are beneficial though optional.
- Strong sales ability combined with influencing skills and comprehensive knowledge of banking products.
- Good planning, organizing, and communication skills along with awareness of competitive landscape and current financial trends.
Stakeholders
Key interaction includes customers, branch staff, operations, product teams, asset management, treasury, credit, insurance partners, asset management companies (AMCs), and securities divisions.
