Job Location and Interview Details

Positions are available across various Bengaluru branches including Halasuru, V V Puram, Church Street, Infantry Road, Frazer Town, and Cambridge Road - Ulsoor. The walk-in interview will be held at HDFC Bank Mount Kailash, No 33/5 Meanee Avenue Road, Halasuru, Bangalore – 560042 (Branch Code - 286) on July 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Role Overview

The Preferred Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for managing High Net Worth Individual (HNI) customers by enrolling them into the Preferred program and delivering a superior banking experience aimed at enhancing relationship profitability through portfolio growth, cross-selling, family account acquisition, retention, and new customer onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage HNW portfolios by acquiring, deepening and retaining customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with PB/Preferred RM teams to identify eligible customers.
  • Acquire and nurture new customers meeting product criteria.
  • Regularly engage customers to update profiles and build rapport.
  • Grow the portfolio book size and maintain portfolio hygiene standards.
  • Cross-sell relevant banking products based on customer needs.
  • Participate in joint calls with supervisors as per processes.
  • Coordinate with Private Banking Group for advisory services where necessary.
  • Control customer attrition and achieve monthly and yearly revenue targets.
  • Ensure error-free documentation and compliance with KYC/AML norms.
  • Maintain a clean workstation following 5-S norms.
  • Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and product penetration.
  • Promote banking products to customers and their family members to maximize income-generating product holding.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, resolving queries and complaints promptly.
  • Keep customers informed about regulatory or procedural changes and program features.
  • Encourage usage of direct banking channels among customers.
  • Facilitate backup contacts within the branch for customer convenience during RM absence.
  • Manage smooth portfolio handover and takeover processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate or Post-graduate degree.
  • Certifications such as AMFI, IRDA are mandatory; NCFM certification is a plus.
  • Strong sales and influencing abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking products and processes.
  • Familiarity with NRI banking products and regulations.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of competition and trends in the financial industry.

Experience

Applicants should possess between 2 to 6 years of experience in banking and wealth management, with preference for exposure to portfolio management. Candidates with 5 or more years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Please note candidates who interviewed with HDFC Bank in the past six months are advised not to reapply.
