Job Description
As Practice Manager, you will take on a diverse and supported role combining leadership duties with hands-on receptionist tasks. You will lead a passionate team and ensure an inviting, smooth patient experience at the front desk. This position suits someone who thrives in both managing operations and handling day-to-day busy practice activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of a high-volume practice to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow.
- Oversee operational and financial aspects including budgeting, sales targets, utilization, and profit & loss.
- Support front desk activities by assisting with patient interactions, appointment bookings, and coordination.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the team to deliver outstanding patient care and maintain a professional environment.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients and staff through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience in team management or practice administration.
- Previous reception or front-of-house exposure, preferably in healthcare or customer-centric settings.
- Experience in dental or medical fields is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide and accept feedback to encourage team growth.
- Effective at multitasking and working under pressure while prioritizing various responsibilities.
- Strong financial literacy, including managing budgets and performance metrics.
- Comfortable with technology and willing to adopt new systems.
- Must possess valid New Zealand work rights and reside locally.
