Job Description

As Practice Manager, you will take on a diverse and supported role combining leadership duties with hands-on receptionist tasks. You will lead a passionate team and ensure an inviting, smooth patient experience at the front desk. This position suits someone who thrives in both managing operations and handling day-to-day busy practice activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of a high-volume practice to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow.
  • Oversee operational and financial aspects including budgeting, sales targets, utilization, and profit & loss.
  • Support front desk activities by assisting with patient interactions, appointment bookings, and coordination.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to deliver outstanding patient care and maintain a professional environment.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients and staff through strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in team management or practice administration.
  • Previous reception or front-of-house exposure, preferably in healthcare or customer-centric settings.
  • Experience in dental or medical fields is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide and accept feedback to encourage team growth.
  • Effective at multitasking and working under pressure while prioritizing various responsibilities.
  • Strong financial literacy, including managing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Comfortable with technology and willing to adopt new systems.
  • Must possess valid New Zealand work rights and reside locally.
